Last week I was living in The Gambia, working and spending time with the people who use bikes every single say. I talked with them, ate with them and worked with them, taking in everything they did and witnessed how much a simple bicycle can impact their lives. Below is a little summary of what I did. What I discovered when I was out there, on top of more practical information such as local component availability and practical repair methods they use, was just how much a tiny adaption to an existing bicycle can make such a huge affect on its use.
For the last month of this project I will be taking my findings from this research and building prototype 3.0 which will be my final prototype.
